Renovation
An extensive five-phase renovation of the property is underway.
TOP is currently completing the first phase, with help from securing its first GOCO (Great Outdoors Colorado) grant, which come from Colorado Lottery funds. Tremendous community support of our annual (since 2005) “Savour The San Juans” fundraiser, has contributed close to $30,000 towards our capital campaign and continual support from individual donors has been invaluable. These donations have helped with re-construction of the pavilion, bathrooms, utilities, roads and parking, paths and re-connection to the water supply.
The main pavilion, upon completion, will include a full kitchen, spacious deck, office and storage space, restrooms, and a dining area to accommodate approximately 150 people. Tent sites, a camp fire circle, rustic overnights, warming hut, and artist cabin are also part of the vision for the future. In order to move into the next phase, we are asking for the community’s involvement.

Our current needs are as follows:
- Matching funds for Phase II Site Development – GOCO grant
- $75,000
- Operating funds for continued administration of grant writing, marketing, and program development
- $40,000
