Q: What amenities does the walk-in campground offer?
A: Potable water is available at TOP from May 15-Oct. 15. Water is available at two spigots – one is adjacent to the pump house mound and the other 10 yards west of the Pavilion building. Each is marked by a 4x4 wood post. Each of the nine campsites has its own picnic table. There is a central fire pit area. There are currently four pit toilets at TOP. Two are located north of the Pavilion adjacent to the Warming Hut and two are in the campsite area. Please read the instructions posted at the toilets and close the door after use.

Q: Can you drive right up to the campsites?
A: No; the campsites are a very short walk from the parking area.

Q: Are dogs allowed at TOP?
A: Yes but they must remain on a leash at all times and owners are responsible for picking up after their pets and removing pet waste from the premises. In the winter, dogs are allowed on the ski trails on Thursdays and Sundays only.

Q: What about parking?
A: TOP has two parking areas. The lower parking lot near the meadow area fits about 20 cars. The upper parking lot at the campground/pavilion fits about 4, with room for about 6 more along the circular road to the left. Overflow parking is available along the driveway/road that leads into TOP from County Road 5.

Q: What is the status of the pavilion improvement project?
A: The large indoor classroom/event room at the pavilion is complete! It has electricity, heating, new doors, windows and lighting, drywall, flooring and a fresh coat of paint. ADA-compliant flush toilets and a shower were installed in the spring of 2019. The catering Prep Kitchen project, along with new flooring throughout, was completed in the fall of 2022.

Q: Does the pavilion have tables and chairs?
A: Yes. There are 2 six-foot folding tables, and 50 folding chairs (25 with cushion, 25 without).

Q: Is there electricity available for events in the meadow?
A: Electricity is available from an outlet at the backside of the Pavilion exterior. However, if power is needed for events like weddings, please note that approximately 300 yards of 10 gage extension cords will be needed. (Extension cords are not provided by TOP so groups will need to bring them in themselves.) Most groups prefer to use a generator.

Q: Is there cell phone reception or wifi at TOP?
A: Cell phone reception is pretty spotty but there are a few places where you can get reception. Ask our campground hosts for advice. We do not offer public wifi at this time.
